Where was Loch Henry filmed? Popular series Black Mirror is finally back with a brand new sixth season with new back-to-back episodes. The second episode of the sixth season titled Loch Henry revolves around two film students Davis and Pia who go to the isolated town of Loch Henry as Davis hails from the city.
In the episode of Loch Henry, fans might have noticed that the episode had an interesting real-life detail as there was a mention of Bergerac, which was the favourite show of Davis’s parents. Believe it or not but it is a real detective series that was hugely popular in the U.K. during the ’80s and early ’90s. The series premiered on the BBC back in October 1981 and had a successful run of nine seasons as it finally came to an end with a Christmas special back in December 1991.

Loch Henry has been filmed extensively as the products used as many 18 filming locations that included several freshwater lochs near Glasgow, which served as the base for filming the episode. Actors Samuel Blenkin and Myha’la Herrold have revealed the location of Loch Henry Samuel started that the cast shot in some amazing places in Scotland as they were based in Glasgow, the actor did lots of filming around Loch Lomond and then also spent a couple of days there while driving up the road that goes right to the left of Loch Lomond and one keeps on going.
Samuel Blenkin especially mentioned a place named Arrochar as he recalled how the scenic beauty along with the mountains is just beautiful. The cast was also filmed in a town called Inveraray which is further north and is indeed beautiful. Herrold also could not get enough of the scenic beauty of Arrochar and thought the place was really cute. The actor stated that they stopped the traffic on the roads when they went rolling on the camera and there were several beautiful places up there.

Charlie Brooke Talks About The Locations
Series director Charlie Brooker has opened up about the importance of the location in Loch Henry as he stated that like all true crime documentaries, the location of Loch Lomond had millions of drone shots over lochs and forests. Brooker pointed out that despite this horrible story, the breathtaking landscapes were so beautiful that he and his wife found themselves Googling where it was and wanting to go on holiday there!

Brooker revealed that just a bit like Joan is Awful, the original idea for this episode came to him while he was watching TV with his wife, Konnie and only this time it was about a true crime documentary that was about something terrible that happened in Scotland.
