Where Are The Northern Lights Of Christmas Filmed?
The Northern Lights of Christmas was not filmed in beautiful Alaska, where the story takes place, but in Canada’s famous filming location Ontario and in North Bay areas in late September and early October. But that doesn’t matter because the film is still utterly enjoyable.
Rutherglen of Ontario served as one of the movie’s shooting sites, as evidenced by this casting notice for a bodily double of the ride an ATV during mid-September. During filming, the movie was occasionally called “Sleigh Bells Sweethearts.”
Producers also searched for doubles for the starring actors Ashley Williams with Corey Sevier, who rode motorbikes in North Bay, Ontario. In a behind-the-scenes clip, Williams cited interacting with the deer as one of her favorite aspects of the film. They are adorable.
Another shooting location is Vested Interest Trading, a shop on Main Street located in North Callander of Ontario, where you may find some entertaining posts on Facebook. In late September, the retailer decided to write: “Vested Interest & Main Street are getting a head start on Christmas!
The Snow Bell Sweethearts Hallmark film will be shot tomorrow in the front window! Beginning to be decorated. Watch this space for more excitement!” They stated in late September that: “This afternoon, the actors and crew of the film Sleigh Bell Sweethearts are gathered in front of Interest Stake.
History’s scenario is being filmed. We still have a store open! While shooting, the team will give you instructions.”
