Racket Boys Season 2 is yet to be announced by Netflix. The sport K-drama is currently airing on Korean television networks called SBS and Netflix. It premiered on 31 May 2021 and has a total of 16 episodes. So far, 15 episodes have been released, only one last episode remains. Episode 16 will be released on Monday 2 August 2021 at 10 pm KST and a few hours later on Netflix. Korean views can watch the drama on the SBS channel while international fans watch it on Netflix. The series has left only one episode. Depending on how the story turns, we will know about the second season. Even if Netflix announces the second season of the drama, it will take a year or so before we get to watch it. The K-drama has been getting good ratings so far. Plot Summary

The K-drama Racket Boys is an ongoing sports drama directed by Jo Young Kwang. It focuses on how middle school badminton teams from the countryside making their way to become national teams through various challenges and struggles. The drama begins as a city boy Yoon Hae Kang is brought to the countryside by his father’s new teaching gig: reviving a ragtag middle school badminton team that is on the brink of extinction. Yoon Hyun Jong is a coach of a middle school boys’ badminton team in Haenam. The badminton team consists of players Yoon Hae Kang, Bang Yoon Dam, Na Woo Chan, etc. However, they are not very good yet. Ra Young Ja, on the other hand, is the coach of the girls’ badminton team at a different middle school in Haenam. Her team ranks one among their peers.

Throughout the drama, we see how Hae Kang, who had stopped playing badminton, resumes it after moving to the countryside and works for his team on and off the court. He stands for his teammate against a bully. Na Woo Chan is a mediator of the team with a caring personality and excellent empathy. He also goes through hardship, but that never stops him as he finds weakness on the court and trains himself.  We see the rivalry between Hae Kang and Bang Yoon Dam, the captain and ace player of the badminton team.

Girls’ team, on the other hand, has their own issues. Han Se Yoon, a badminton player who dreams of becoming the youngest member of the national team, has her own flaws and insecurities. Both boys and girls learn that with big dreams come huge responsibilities, hard work, and great teamwork. Everyone in the team works through physical injuries, emotional instability, the pressure of winning matches, etc., to become an ace player.

In the latest episode, we see that boys are struggling with the resolution in their singles matches. Villagers consider an enticing offer, and Kang Tae Seon is preparing for his comeback. Will they make it through the last barrier? Will they bring back victory or come back empty hand? Do not forget to mark the date as the final episode will be airing on 4 August 2021.
