The bespectacled girl was embarrassed to acknowledge this and worried about what Kotaro might say. To her surprise, not only did Kotaro blame himself for the loss, but he also didn’t blame her for the injury.
During the race, his skin got peeled, but he persisted and finished the race. Kotaro then went on to say that the reason he doesn’t blame her is because of the effort she had been putting into racing. This made her extremely happy, and she blushed a little at the time, a fact that was noticed by one of the girls.
Fumika outright rejected the accusation (can’t admit something like that to a friend) and said she had no intention of going after him. However, she has come to realize why Kotaro is liked by the other girls. And this, in turn, made her fall for him for good, the effects of which we should see soon.
