The fantasy drama series, The Witcher, has been one of the most loved drama genres of all time, with Henry Cavill playing the role of Geralt of Riveria. The Witcher made waves recently with the production deciding to replace Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth to play the role of Geralt.
Fans were outraged and heartbroken with the production’s decision of replacing, Henry as several fans were watching the fantasy drama only for Henry. Several fans took to Twitter to express their anger and grief at the production’s decision stating that they would no longer watch the series if Henry gets replaced.
Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the fantasy drama series is based on The Witcher, a fantasy novel penned by the famous writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Produced by Beau DeMayo, the series stars Henry Cavill playing the role of Geralt of Rivia, an enhanced monster hunter, Anya Chalotra playing the role of Yennefer of Vengerberg, a sorceress.
Freya Allan playing the role of Ciri, princess of Cintra, Eamon Farren playing the role of Cahir Mawr, commander of Nilfgaardian, Joey Batey playing the role of Jskier, Geralt’s friend, and Anna Shaffer playing the role of Triss Merigold in the lead cast.
The recurring cast of The Witcher stars Jodhi May plays Queen Calanthe, Adam Levy plays Mousesack, Lars Mikkelsen playing the role of Stegobor, Ania Marson playing the role of Voleth Meir, and Shaun Dooley playing the role of King Foltest.
The Witcher focuses on Geralt of Rivia, Ciri, and Yennefer in different timelines before it merges into one timeline by the end of season 1. Ciri is linked with Geralt from the time before her birth, as he asked her as a reward for his service.
Geralt becomes Ciri’s bodyguard after the pair met up, and he helps the princess fight against several pursuers.

Who Is Vilgefortz In The Witcher?
Vilgefortz is the prime antagonist of the fantasy drama series, The Witcher, played by none other than, Mahesh Jadu. According to the novels, he serves as the secondary antagonist and makes an appearance in the second novel.
Vilgefortz, in spite of his nickname Vilgefortz of Roggeveen was born to his parents in Kovir Lan Exeter’s capital. Vilgefortz was thrown out of the house on the streets of Lan Exeter by his parents as a baby, thus never getting a chance to know his actual parents.
As a baby, Vilgefortz, got found by druids of the Circle of Kovir, who trained him to be a druid. Vilgefortz is a handsome, tall man with an imposing physique. Vilgefortz is 35 with a convincing voice and noble features.
He has a dark long beard and grey eyes. Vilgefortz joined hands with Nilfgaard and became the series’ prime antagonist.
What Happened To Vilgefortz’s Face?
In Season 3 Episode 6, Everybody Has A Plan’til They Get Puched In The Face, the viewers saw Vilgefortz chasing Ciri after outwiting Geralt at the beach. He follows Ciri to the tower of Tor Lara before Ciri successfully manages to connect to the tower causing a massive energy burst.
While Ciri is sucked into the portal during the tower collapse, unfortunately for Vilgefortz, the tower collapses on him. This leads to severe scarring on his face as he used his magic to shield his entire body.
This prevents his body from getting crushed under the collapsed tower. Following this Vilgefortz capture Ciri and present her to Emperor Emhyr as promised between them. However, it is later revealed that she was not the actual Ciri, but a mage Teryn brainwashed by Vilgefortz to believe that she was Ciri.
This happened because Vilgefortz wants Ciri for himself to increase his powers. Unfortunately for the emperor, he is dumb enough to not recognize that the girl in front of him wasn’t the actual Ciri but a mage because the last time the emperor saw Ciri was when she was an infant.
Tor Lara collapsed after Ciri opened the portal there leading the structure to explode. The portal in Tor Lara is known to be unstable, and the tower collapse led to Vilgefortz getting trapped under the rubble.
Vilgefortz decided not to cover his face with the help of his magic. The fourth series fourth season will focus on Vilgefortz on the quest to find the actual Ciri.
