The actor recently admitted that he feels like it was Jar Jar who changed movies and thinks that the character does not get a lot of credit for changing movies.

As he talked about some big mistakes that were responsible for his isolation, viewers were quick to understand that he was talking about his decision to give Palpatine emergency powers. That decision was surely a bad one as it went on to wreak havoc on the galaxy for years, as the Emperor ruled with an iron fist and tormented people. Not to forget how Jar Jar went on to become one of the most hated characters in Star Wars.
Even before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director J J Abrams revealed all about his plans regarding Bink’s death and how it was initially planned to put his bones in the desert while calling it interesting and dark. However, the Star Wars makers did not ultimately go ahead with the plan.

Ahmed Best played the role of Jar Jar Binks. It seems like viewers were not alone in their hatred towards the character as the actor himself admitted that he actually wanted a dark ending for Jar Jar and even tried to convince the makers for Jar Jar to get murdered.

The actor jokingly stated how he often used to complain to George that he did not get a good death and he really wanted to be just hacked to pieces in some kind of way, but George did not go ahead with it! Ahmed Best further explained how he feels that it is an interesting thing about Jar Jar is that everybody kept on looking for an explanation for him, which is more like a human in nature.

Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best recently admitted that he had to think about the return saying how he has been in the Star Wars world for such a long time and how his story has been such a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and that is why coming back to Star Wars was not really an easy decision for him.
The actor further added jor it was something he could have immediately said yes to but did have to marinate over it for a bit. Best stated that he did not want to be bigger than the story and didn’t want to be bigger than the mythology and wanted to contribute, so it took him a while to make the decision. The actor credited the makers of the series as he said how The Mandalorian creators, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, encouraged him as soon as he put on the robes for his first costume test.
