Heat & Lack Of Water
Woodstock 99 had a huge audience and was scheduled to last for 4 days, between July 22 to July 25. It had about 200,000 audiences and was held at Griffiss Air Force Base. As the crowd was huge, heat slowly covered up the place and affected all the people. The management sold water bottles, but their prices were unreasonably high.
The air base also had some water taps, but unfortunately, they were located about half a mile away from the main event.
Also, the situation degraded like hell when the toilets started to overflow with human waste. This made the atmosphere of Woodstock 99 equivalent to hell. Dehydration combined with the rotting and unhygienic environment made a lot of people sick.
Poor management & lack Of Proper Security
Like the 69’s Woodstock festival, management was one of the biggest issues. This time it was even worse; according to reports, the security team did not have enough training and was not efficient in controlling the crowd.
A lot of its staff quit the show at the end moment, which made the management even worse. The audience was not allowed to take their own food and water inside. Instead, they were asked to buy food at high prices from inside.
