Arlong Park is ruled by Arlong and his pirate crew, Fish-Men, one of the two humanoid races. It comes into the limelight when Nami steals the Going Merry, a full-sized ship that belongs to the Straw Hat pirates, and brings it to her hometown, the Cocoyasi Village. Meanwhile, Usopp, Zoro, and Johnny trace her.
Nami, as a little girl, used to live in the Cocoyasi village with her sister, Nojiko, and mother, Bell-mère. Arlong forced everyone to pay him to survive after arriving in the Cocoyasi Village. The amount deferred for the kids and the adults.
Bell-mère was poor and could not afford the tax. Thus, she dealt with Arlong to give her own life and free her daughters. She died, but Arlong did not follow every condition. He took Nami away to use her cartography skills. Later, Nami dealt with Arlong to purchase her village back by paying him.
Nami collects enough money over the years and is about to pay Arlong. However, Arlong sends his guys to Nami’s home and gets her money, calling it illegal. He denies having broken the deal and asks her to start collecting money from scratch.

What Episode Is Arlong Park?
Arlong Park appears in One Piece Season 1 from Episode 31 to Episode 44. Thus, it lasts for fourteen episodes. This period is called the Arlong Park Arc, Conomi Islands Arc, or Cocoyasi Village Arc. It is the last arc of the season and the fifth story arc of the One Piece (anime and manga) and East Blue Saga.
Luffy arrives at Arlong Park on a small boat with Yosaku and his new cook, Sanji, and discovers Nami’s saddening story. Thus, Luffy and Sanji decide to help her. Arlong Park Arc begins after the end of Baratie Arc. Luffy defeated the dangerous Don Krieg in the Baratie Arc after facing Krieg’s deadly weapons.
Arlong Park Arc is one of the arcs that attracted more audiences. The viewers remember the arc for showing the true nature of the series. It also included tomfoolery, action, emotions, and fun.
The Arlong Park Arc
Luffy knocks down a giant sea cow who wants to eat them, not their food when they sail. Nami started behaving suspiciously before Johnny and Yosaku were thrown off the Going Merry. She was interested in getting Arlong’s poster and hearing how he got more active with time.
After reaching the shore, Luffy and his friends find she works for the pirates in Arlong Park. Meanwhile, Usopp, Johnny, and Zoro reach the shore. The latter two reach the Gosa Village, while the first gets knocked down by a boy and saved by a woman.
The woman turns out to be Nami’s foster sister and a resident on the island. On the other hand, Zoro is taken to Arlong Park, where Arlong describes Nami as a selfish woman who can even betray her family for money. It visibly hurts Nami.

Demolition Of Arlong Park
We are heading to the final fight between Arlong and Luffy. When Luffy learns about Nami’s depressing past, he pledges to teach Arlong a lesson for hurting his friend, Nami. Accordingly, Sanji and Usopp fight Chew and Kuroobi. Only Arlong is left now.
While others are busy fighting each other, Arlong and Luffy get into a one-to-one battle. Arlong is indeed powerful, but Luffy does not get weak while fighting for his friends. Both use each other’s weaknesses. They arrive in Nami’s room where she stored the maps for Arlong.
Luffy throws those maps out of the tower through the window, which makes Nami and all the villagers happy. Arlong Park Arc ends when Luffy defeats (does not kill) Arlong and takes the entire city down with his final punch.
The next day, the villagers celebrate their freedom. Meanwhile, Nami steals people’s wallets while running through the crowd. She gets onto the ship and bids them a final goodbye. The villagers know what she did but happily bid her goodbye. Bell-mère’s grave appears as Going Merry sails off the island in the last episode.
