The American medical television drama series, ER needs no introduction. Created by Michael Crichton, it made its premiere back in 1994 and continued for several years. To be more precise, ER concluded in 2009 with Season 15.
In case it’s new to you, ER focuses on the medical faculties of the doctors working at the County General Hospital in Chicago. What’s the main job of a doctor? It’s to treat his patients. However, life has different ups and downs in both personal and professional lives. But, doctors need to deal with it while providing medical care to others. In What Episode Did Lucy Die?
In ER, Lucy Knight died in Season 6 Episode 13 titled “Be Still My Heart.” This particular episode aired on 10 February 2000. Written by Lydia Woodward, the episode garnered a huge number of viewers. In case you have missed it, there is nothing to worry about.
In Episode 13, Lucy and Carter were seen treating a combative law student named Paul Sobriki. He had some mental issues that needed to be given some medical treatment. They thought it to be schizophrenia since he had immense headaches. More precisely, his erratic behavior added more suspicion to the same.
While the medical proceedings were on, meanwhile, Lucy referred Paul to undergo MRI as the spinal tap didn’t work well for him. In response to this, he told her that he needed to go to his workplace. She also talked to one of his friends and came to know about his sudden act of isolation from the group. But Carter yelled at Lucy, complaining that she failed to take proper care of Paul, and later recommended she make a call to the psychiatrist for further help.
Guess what? Paul attacked Mark with a sharp knife. He stabbed him not just once but twice in the lower back. On the same hand, he also attacked Lucy. She fell on the ground and ended up bleeding badly. Carter tried to help her, but he got wounded badly. Eventually, Lucy passed away.
Besides Lucy’s death, certain other events took place in the episode. It was on Valentine’s Day in ER when a couple of children lost their parents in a car accident. On the other hand, the relationship between Mark Greene and Elizabeth Corday grew stronger, and they set out on a double date. With whom? Well, it was Elizabeth’s mother and Mark’s father who started to share a beautiful relationship. Elizabeth took the initiative and asked him if they could go on a dinner date that night.
