Wednesday On Netflix: What Is It About?
Netflix dropped the first trailer for the upcoming horror series based upon the life of Wednesday Addams. The series will be a thriller full of paranormal elements and dark comedy horror aspects as one would expect from a master of cinematography from Tim Burton— a man behind dark goth styles like “The Nightmare Before Christmas”— as he’s directing the eight episodes of this show in his streaming directorial debut.
Behind this upcoming production are Miles Millar and Al Gough, who sat down and wrote the scripts for a story where Wednesday Addams spends her days at Nevermore Academy trying to master her skills as a terror wave takes over her hometown.
Cast
The cast for this series features Jenna Ortega (from Scream 5) as Wednesday Addams, Academy Award-winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (from Ocean’s Twelve) as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzman (from Traffic) as Gomez Addams. Also, Victor Doronbantu plays Uncle It. Isaac Ordóñez as Pugsley Addams, and George Burcea as Lurch. Lastly, Christina Ricci —who played Wednesday in the 1990s original films by Barry Sonenfeld— is also cast in the production in a different role.

Wednesday Teaser Trailer breakdown
The teaser trailer is short, as you will see with a dimly lit scenario and a piece of ominous music. We see how Wednesday Addams braids her hair and then proceeds to move forward into the spotlight. After that, she fixes her lapels, and Thing pops up on her shoulder. With an unemotional stare, Wednesday and Thing snap their fingers. Then, the caption tells us that Tim Burton is behind the production, and the trailer concludes. Simple and intriguing. As Tim Burton would like it.
