You hear Walk Like an Egyptian playing in a dingy pub in the middle of nowhere. The first thing you want to say is, “Is that a JoJo reference?”. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a universe that has become a part of many people’s lives. As a result, we see the birth of many a ship daily. Some of these ships, the fans love, and some they hate with a burning vengeance. Some others are disliked by many but will pass if need be.
Currently, many JoJo ships are making the rounds on the internet. However, not a lot of them make a bunch of sense concerning the storyline. We have made a list of five of the best and worst ships in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and we hope you feel the same as we do!
-
Speedwagon and Jonathan Joestar
This is possibly one of the most popular ships in the JoJo universe. Speedwagon and Jonathan Joestar have been rumored to be end-game since the beginning of time (though we all know how that turns out)
The two of them have a chemistry that is unparalleled by any other ship we’ve seen in the series, and this alone makes them a great pairing. Speedwagon genuinely cares about Jonathan, making him a great friend and ally – and a good OTP, in our case.
-
Speedwagon and Jonathan Joestar
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is just that – bizarre. Let’s get this straight – Speedwagon and Jonathan are simultaneously the best and worst pairing in the JoJo universe.
If one is to consider this pairing’s practicality, we would have to conclude that there isn’t any! Firstly, Speedwagon and Jonathan would definitely make better friends. Secondly, Speedwagon doesn’t really contribute anything concrete to fights – being a spectator on the most part.
-
Anthonio Zeppeli and Speedwagon
Anthonio Zeppeli is one of the most beloved characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Subsequently, the Zeppeli – Speedwagon pairing is one of the most popular tropes in this universe.
We have seen Speedwagon try and prove himself to Zeppeli, although this little stunt might have come too late into the storyline. Nonetheless, the two have developed a mutual respect, making them understand their plight better. Speedwagon might have been one of the most affected when it came to Anthonio’s death, making for a tragic yet beautiful love story.
-
Dio Brando and Jonathan Joestar
This could be one of the worst pairings on this list yet!
While Jonathan’s Feelings towards Dio can somewhat be redeemed, Dio’s hatred will always remain intact. As Speedwagon mentions many a time, Dio is someone that is born with malice in his blood. This means Jonathan and him are meant to be arch enemies by default.
While we do love a good enemies-to-lovers arc, for the most part, incorporating it in this relationship is a definite no-no.
-
Caeser and Joseph Joestar
Now, if Dio and Jonathan are the worst pairings in JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure, Caeser and Joseph might be the best!
Their story is one that’s got everything – respecting each other after ages of dislike, a classic story of love and loss. Whatever we agree or disagree on, we can all say that this pairing is one that brings a few rouge tears to our eyes.
In the end, Jojo and Caeser are meant to be!
-
Josuke Higashikata and Rohan Kishibe
Being a part of Diamond is Unbreakable; Josuke and Rohan are a ship that many think would be a great idea. While we do not entirely hate this direction, many people also believe that this is not the ideal way to go about it.
Several problems arise when talking about this pairing. For instance, though Josuke and Rohan do not necessarily hate each other, we don’t really think they love each other in the strongest sense of the word either. Rohan plays the devil’s advocate in most cases – though he would defiantly save Josuke’s life if need be, his moral ground remains shaky, making it hard for this pairing actually to work.
-
Jotaro and Noriaki
The Stardust Crusaders arc of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has brought us this ship, and we are forever grateful!
Fans have a lot to say about this pairing due to many reasons. The fandom is somewhat split between loving them and hating them. There seems to be no middle ground here, and we understand why.
Regarding this ship, we have one major pointer – Noriaki Kakyoin is not a “real” villain. His character is complex and layered; he is not black and white like the rest of them. This leaves room for development in the future and would make for an exciting pairing if successful (with great emphasis on the word “if”).
-
The Pillar Men and Joseph Joestar
There are many things we will never come to understand. One of these is the absurd pairing of the Pillar Men and Joseph Joestar.
Wamuu, Kars, and Esidisi are some of the most interesting characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. That being said, a pairing between one of them and Joseph is a bit of a stretch!
For one thing, The Pillar Men take pride in their massive ego. If we analyze their character well, we would know that they would never consider a human – let alone a Hamon user – on par with them.
We need not worry about this pairing’s success or failure as it is one that would never happen in the first place!
-
Jolyne and Hermes
This is one of the very few WLW pairings in the universe, and we love to see it! Although this is a great reason to love the ship, it is not the only one.
Jolyne and Hermes complement each other throughout. Jolymes is probably the most popular WLW in the entire fandom, and with good reason. Being the sixth arc in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Stone Ocean gives us more than promised! We would think a pairing this late in the storyline with an arc as far off as this would not fare well, but this is definitely not the case with Jolymes!
This pairing is loved by everyone – fans, critics, and even people who aren’t much into the JoJo Universe. This alone stands proof of the pairing’s success!
-
Lisa Lisa and Joseph Joestar
JoJo fans did it! They gave us one truly confusing pairing, just as we thought they would!
Lisa Lisa is one of the most loved characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. This is due to her devil-may-care attitude and intelligence. She is a great Hamon user, coach, and human. What she is definitely not is Joseph Joestar’s OTP!
For starters, the relationship that exists between them is one of a teacher and student. Second, and most importantly, Lisa Lisa is more than 50 years old! Not trying to be ageist here, but we sure know that her love for JoJo is as platonic as it could get! Also, let’s not forget that she is a Joestar!
There you have it, five of what we think are the best and worst ships of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure! We promise to bring you more of these OTPs if you promise to keep reading. In the meantime, crank up the music and let Roundabout take you on a trip. Everything really is a JoJo reference if you let it be!
