In Episode 9, Before Teddy eventually tells Eden the horrible news that she was molested more than once, Sherri confesses to Lola that she thinks something is wrong with her parents. Lola gives her the go-ahead for Sherri to leave. He tries to comfort them by suggesting that they press new charges, but frightened Eden is unwilling to go through another trial after Luke made her feel ashamed.
Teddy receives an apology from Mark for being thrown into the fire, and Mark thanks Teddy for a good job. He tells him that even if they don’t agree with their victim’s wants, they still need to respect them. Teddy plays the video for an angry Luke before the public defender strongly advises his client to accept the D.A.’s plea deal. After the assault case is resolved, Vince is arrested on suspicion of conspiracy. Sara informs Eden that she knows an attorney who can help in getting Eden’s job back as well. Additionally, Lola informs the US Attorney that Mark will prosecute Brandon Page and gives Mark a look that apparently means, “You’d better win,” as well.
At home, Lola manages to find out that Robin is no longer involved in the case and informs him that she won’t go to Stanford. She expects that he would apologize to Mark. The way they are framed in this shot, almost on opposite sides of the dinner table, raises a lot of questions. However, it is not as big as the one for Sherri who, before asking to visit her parents, tells someone that she has more money. Mark finally meets Collier at the end of “Truth Hurts,” and he tells Mark that Amy lied when she claimed to have started the divorce process.
