Saber Interactive has released Patch 14.0 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, introducing one of the game’s largest post-launch content updates. The patch expands the multiplayer experience with two brand-new PvP maps, a new Thousand Sons enemy, additional Heroic weapons and armor, fresh customization options, and significant balance adjustments across PvE, PvP, and Siege Mode.
Alongside the new content, the developer confirmed several experimental features aimed at improving Eternal War, including PvP team reshuffling and weekly participation rewards. The update also lays the groundwork for future customization improvements, with Saber teasing even more changes arriving in Patch 15.
Patch 14.0 expands PvP with two new battlegrounds
The headline additions in Patch 14.0 are Sanctum and Facility, two multiplayer maps built for very different combat styles.
Sanctum is a medium-sized battlefield featuring multiple open combat zones connected by fast traversal routes. A central hotspot encourages constant firefights, making it ideal for players who enjoy larger engagements.
Meanwhile, Facility is one of the smallest PvP maps introduced so far. Its compact layout focuses on aggressive flanking, rapid rotations, and close-quarters encounters designed to keep matches fast-paced from start to finish.
To further improve multiplayer, Saber has removed PvP progression requirements, making every weapon and piece of equipment immediately available from Level 1. Players can also earn weekly PvP participation rewards, while an experimental team reshuffle system will randomly reorganize teams after matches based on results to improve matchmaking variety.
New Thousand Sons enemy and Heroic equipment arrive
Patch 14.0 also introduces the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer, a powerful new Terminus-class enemy aligned with the Thousand Sons. The Sorcerer uses devastating ranged and melee psychic attacks while summoning magical illusions to overwhelm players.
Following feedback from the Public Test Server, Saber adjusted the enemy before launch by reducing beam attack damage, increasing cooldowns, lowering illusion health, and improving counterplay through additional dodge and Gunstrike opportunities.

Players can also unlock six new Heroic weapons, including the Thunder Hammer, Power Fist, Bolt Carbine, Melta Rifle, Power Sword, and Stalker Bolt Rifle, alongside four new Heroic armor pieces earned through Accolades.
The update expands customization with robes for the Assault and Tactical classes, new tabards, additional cosmetic options, and the first stage of the Wargear 2.01 overhaul. Saber explained that a third Wargear slot is being prepared so players can eventually equip capes, robes, and tabards simultaneously.
The developer also teased an upcoming customization feature, saying “Something we should have done a long time ago” will arrive with Patch 15, although additional details have not yet been revealed.
Major balancing changes affect PvE, PvP, and Siege Mode
Patch 14.0 includes dozens of gameplay adjustments across every major mode. Several firearms, including the Heroic Bolt Pistol, Secondary Bolt Carbine, and Pyrecannon, receive buffs, while newly introduced Heroic weapons have also been strengthened following community feedback.
In PvP, Assault’s Ground Pound radius has been reduced, Shock Grenades have a smaller blind radius and shorter duration, Krak Grenades now always destroy the Heavy’s Iron Halo, and Vanguard receives faster ability cooldowns alongside additional charges.
Siege Mode has also been rebalanced, with reduced Tech Priest resource generation, increased rewards for completing waves and side objectives, tougher enemies on higher waves, and the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer joining the mode as a miniboss.
Beyond gameplay, Patch 14.0 delivers numerous bug fixes, UI improvements, loading optimizations, crash fixes, memory improvements, and general connectivity enhancements, making it one of the most comprehensive updates released for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 since launch.
