Vinland Saga Season 2 takes place after the events of Thorfinn’s involvement in the war with the British, Thorfinn’s father died in the war, and all Thorfinn wishes now is to live a peaceful life with his remaining family. But Karma comes back, and it did for Thorfinn.

What is the plot of Vinland Saga Season 2

Vinland Saga takes place from the perspective of two main characters, Thorfinn and Einar. Thorfinn is a warrior of the Askeladd tribe and a slave from Ketil farm. Thorfinn comes to Vinland seeking freedom and adventures, but life for Thorfinn is not as easy as it seems.

Vinland Saga Season 2 focuses mostly on the aftermath of the British-Vinland war. Thorrfin’s plan to live on a farm peacefully in the countryside is ruined when his farm is invaded by bandits, and he is captured and sold as a slave. Now forced to be back to square one after escaping his previous hellish life, Thorrfin now seeks the path of revenge.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 14 Recap.

In the previous episode of Vinland Saga, or in Vinland Saga episode 14, we saw Gardar find his wife, Arnheid, while escaping from slave traders. Gardar, now tired and mentally exhausted, fights the Snake and loses, which leads to Gardar getting captured by Snake.

Gardar is now dragged away to slave traders, and seems like he has mentally lost it. Arnheid seeing these events goes through a mental breakdown, and Arnheid decides to stay quiet and abandon her husband for the sake of Erein.

We also got to hear a back story about Arnheid’s past. Areheid was born in a small farming village in Sweden. A marsh with an iron deposit was found near Arnheid’s village, and the village split into groups fighting for iron. Seeking wealth, Gardar decides to take his village men and fight for the right to iron. With all the village men gone, the village was venerable, and bandits took this chance to raid the village and easily captured everyone.

Arnheid lost her son Gjalti and Arnheid was sold as a slave. But now, all she wishes is to abandon her past and live peacefully on a farm.
