Did Usher head to a little white chapel while in Las Vegas before the big game? Well, Usher, the Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner, obtained a marriage license with his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer “Jenn” Goicoechea, before his performance.
According to court records obtained, the Grammy winner, 45, and the music executive received a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on Thursday, Feb. 8.
Court records indicate that while Usher and Jennifer “Jenn” Goicoechea obtained a marriage license, their marriage certificate has not been filed yet.
The couple’s relationship first sparked dating rumors when they were photographed together at producer Keith Thomas’ 40th birthday party in June 2019.
Usher and Goicoechea welcomed their first child together, daughter Sovereign Bo, in 2020, followed by their son, Sire Castrello, in 2021. Usher also shares two sons, Usher V and Naviyd Ely, with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
A few months before his big Super Bowl performance, Usher opened up about how Goicoechea cheers him on. He said,
“I have an amazing partner, a support system. We have an amazing dynamic in our relationship where I’m able to be passionate still about what I do and have an incredible partner to work through some of the harder times as a young man dealing with children.”
“I’m very happy, very fortunate to have an incredible friend, not just a partner. She’s my best friend and I love her.”
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers faced off in Super Bowl LVIII, that aired on CBS on February 11th.
