Useless Ponko Chapter 73 showed how Yoshiako and his wife came to be a couple. Yoshiako was not sure that he would get to marry her, given how she was a woman of higher stature, but the two were able to come together in the end.
Yoshiako had not much to offer, but he was a builder, so he promised her that he would make her a home on the hills where they would live with their kids and grandkids. But she passes away, leaving Yoshiako behind.
Yoshiako came to terms with her death little by little, and his kids were also taking care of him. Until Ponko came into his life, she was not the replacement for his wife, just someone who could take care of him.
However, being the clumsy klutz she was, she made things worse for him and only helped him realize his loneliness even more. Ponko will finally make Yoshiako realize that what they have spent together is of great value. That, despite being a robot and a klutz, she has learned her lessons and put them to use.
He will get to see his old house once again and relive some of the old memories that have died in him. Those relieved experiences for a few minutes will make him realize that he had been harsh on the little maid a bit too much. But that realization will come when the series is about to wrap, with all the strings getting resolved by the end.
