Plotline of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku
A crusade is on the horizon for Gabimaru the Hollow after he is captured and sentenced to death. Confusing, right? Well, Gabimaru is the sole soul to practice the forbidden art. His body is resilient to every form of the fatal blow. He won’t perish no matter what! What about burning him at “the stake”? You know the answer, he didn’t die. How about tearing him asunder by oxen? He didn’t die, yet again! An invulnerable prisoner, great.
Finding Gabimaru’s immortal body a blessing in disguise, the executioner- Yamada Asaemon, decides to send Gabimaru to the depths of a dungeon. Why, you ask? These unforgiving dungeons contain the “elixir of life.” So it is decided to send prisoners to the brutal world of Shinsenkyo. Teams after teams of war prisoners go there, but no one ever returns.

Talking more about Gabimaru is a ninja from Iwagakura who finds the lives of humans worth no more than insects. He has killed heaps of people and regrets nothing. A cold-hearted man with no love for life is Gabimaru. His parents perished when he was just an infant; he has no dreams or ambitions. When captured after being betrayed by his comrades, he never resisted his execution.
But, he has one little reason, his glimmer of hope- his beloved wife. She softened him with her kindness and love. So, this is Gabimaru and his tale.
