Twinkling Watermelon Episode 2 is currently out! Eun Gyeol (Ryeoun) is a high school student in 2023 who has a love for music. He is a diligent model student during the day, but at night, he rocks out as a guitarist in a band. Yet, he travels back in time to 1995 when he stumbles across a weird yet seductive music shop.
He meets his father, Ha Yi Chan, in this situation while still a high school student. When Eun Gyeol refers to him as “dad,” Yi Chan assumes the worst. Even worse, it seems that Yi Chan is more interested in Se Kyeong (Seol In Ah), a cold-blooded cellist than he is in his future mother, Cheong Ah!
Eun Gyeol joins a band led by his future father to “make things right.” Will this be sufficient for Eun Gyeol to reunite with his future parents, and will he ever return to the 2020s?
Son Jong Hyun is the director of the 2023 South Korean drama series “Twinkling Watermelon“. Seol In-ah plays Choi Se-kyeong in the program, Ryeoun plays Ha Eun-gyeol, Choi Hyun-wook plays Ha Yi-chan, and Shin Eun-soo plays Yoon Cheong-ah. “Twinkling Watermelon” will start airing on TVN every Monday and Tuesday on September 25, 2023.
There are 16 episodes in this season. Up to the second week of November, there will be two new episodes published every week beginning on September 25. The average length of each episode is one hour and five minutes.
Twinkling Watermelon Episode 1 Recap
At a coffee shop, Ha Eun-gyeol and his brother Ha Eun-ho are introduced at the start of the episode. When the brothers take a while to order their beverages, it becomes apparent that Eun-ho has hearing loss.
We learn via a flashback that Eun-gyeol and Eun-ho’s parents are likewise hard of hearing. Eun-gyeol often lends a hand during the holidays while the family’s restaurant is in operation.
After the family relocates, the son of the new landlord discovers that Eun-gyeol is a diligent student. For his son to get better marks, his dad urges him to become friends with Eun-gyeol. The landlord’s son, however, admits that he is speaking to Eun-gyeol to ace his examinations.
When Eun-gyeol defies the landlord’s son’s commands, the landlord’s son starts bullying him nonstop. One day, the proprietor of a guitar store assists Eun-gyeol while he is going home drenched in water. Eun-gyeol may also learn how to play the guitar from the store owner.
Eun-gyeol starts to routinely visit the guitar store and receive lessons from the proprietor. He starts making progress right away and performs better than expected. The proprietor of the guitar shop assigns Eun-gyeol the duty of creating a guitar riff for a song. The owner will offer Eun-gyeol the instrument he wants most if it sounds well.
As soon as Eun-gyeol gets home, he starts making music. However, Eun-gyeol’s parents demand that he care for his brother when he falls unwell. The landlord’s son opens the window and tosses a sweater inside when he is unable to speak with Eun-gyeol.
He also unintentionally spills a cigarette butt on the place. Eun-gyeol leaves the house and goes to the company owner to sing to him without notifying his parents. Here is a preview of the drama:
