Last year, WWE icon Trish Stratus staged a remarkable comeback, gracing Monday Night RAW with her presence as the revered Diva of the Decade, breathing new life into her character.
Stratus notably revived her beloved heel persona, a departure from her previous roles, igniting fierce rivalries with emerging stars like Becky Lynch, culminating in a thrilling showdown at WWE Payback.
In a recent appearance on ‘The Game Plan’ podcast, Stratus shed light on the contrasting approaches of WWE executives Vince McMahon and Triple H. While McMahon initially hesitated on her heel turn, Triple H embraced the idea, leading to a resounding success with the audience.
“Trying to force you [fans] to change your mind. I think it’s cool,” Stratus revealed. “I know Vince [McMahon] like even for the longest time, Vince wasn’t on board with me coming back and being a heel. He’s like, ‘They’ll never boo you’, and then it was Triple H who was like, ‘All right, let’s give this a try’ kind of thing.”
Despite her absence from WWE programming, rumors swirl about Stratus’s potential participation in the upcoming Money in the Bank event in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Fans eagerly anticipate whether Stratus will grace the ring once more in front of her adoring home crowd.
