The Story follows the life of Haru, the newest member of the 4th Cavalry of the Imperial Knights Regiment. The 4th Cavalry, or “Black Hawks,” is a tough place for a rookie. They are always busy being sent far and wide to help those in need. This means that they are always on the move.
And when they are not doing anything, they will be training. The success of the Black Hawks is mainly due to their fearless leader Karen. She is the youngest captain of the Imperial Knights Regiment. Haru fell head over heels for Karen the moment he laid eyes on her.
He asked her out on the spot but was rejected without a second thought. However, he noticed something interesting. The Captain got very flustered after his proposal.
Haru found her reaction to be adorable. Since that day, he has been trying to rile Karen up to see her adorable reaction. Even though he knows she is more than capable of kicking his ass. Aside from that, Haru proved himself to be a competent addition to the 4th Cavalry. He may not be at the same level as most of his subordinates, but he gets stronger with each passing day. Haru also likes to spy on Karen.
In an act that can be considered borderline stalking, Haru uses transformation magic to follow Karen to her engagements so that he can eavesdrop on her conversations.
However, it was that skill that landed him in his current predicament. He was ordered by Princess Elruka to go to the Republic to replace the missing Knight that was on duty there. However, the original nature of its mission is plain old espionage.
And his transformation abilities make him the perfect candidate for the mission. Turns out the relationship between the Kingdom and the Republic has been on a downward spiral for quite some time. They are sure that someone is trying to turn the Republic against them.
In addition to his Knightly duties, Haru must also investigate and find out the current state of affairs and possibly who is pulling the strings from the shadows.

Karen and Haru have officially started dating. However, Haru has been sent to a different country on an assignment for two months. Madeline (Karen’s Friend) developed a two-way communication device to talk to Haru.
It’s essentially a telephone which runs on magic power. With that, Karen was able to talk to Haru for a short while but accidentally broke the receiver after being startled by one of her subordinates walking into the room.
The Journey to the Republic was uneventful for the most part. Haru had motion sickness, he was invited to a duel by Ena, but Zena interfered before they could finish it, he met Noka, who was extremely flustered in his presence, and before long, he set foot on the Southern Republic Harbor Town.
Haru had a mixed reaction to being in a foreign country for the first time in his life. For one, he is having a tough time adjusting to the tropical climate.
And two, the people seem friendly enough, and there are several other tourists in that port town. Ena and Zena seem to be treating him as their errand boy.
Haru wonders why he is stuck with these two rather than some other Knight of the Republic. Ena tells him that they are going to meet someone whom she referred to as “Lilia-sama” and that Haru should use his pretty face to shower her with compliments.

Haru is on his way to meet “Lilia-sama”. From the way Ena addresses her, we can assume that Lilia is Ena’s superior and possibly the Captain of the Knights Regiment Ena and Zena belong to. Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see this new character interact with Haru.
And quite possibly, she might fall for Haru making things more complicated. Very excited to see if Karen will get Jealous or not. I think we already know the answer.
