Even though Gamescon 2018 might be over, 2018 is far from over; more games are yet to come. The major releases for the next month have been specially curated for you.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (August 28)
Monster Hunter Generations is an action role-playing video game, which is the western version of an HD port of a 3DS game.
Don’t scratch your head over all that jargon, what it basically means is that you get to hunt monsters using over a dozen different and exciting weapons. There are many unique hunting styles and arts for hunting monsters, of course. The critically acclaimed RPG game makes its debut on Nintendo Switch on August 28.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 (August 28)
The remake of Yakuza 2 has seen a massive overhaul of its visuals amongst other good stuff. The reviews have been good. It is said to have some of the series highest highs. The game has a secondary protagonist going by the name Gojo Majima who has a whole new scenario dedicated to him. It will be available on PS4.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (August 28)
It’s time for football fans to rejoice as PES 2019 is here. Not much needs to be said about the game whose cover is adorned by the legend David Beckham.
Still, there is said to be better ball control and shooting. The games new version packs almost a dozen new features which range from no-look passing to double-touch dribbling. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Donut County (August 28)
Donut County is an Indie game developed by Ben Esposito. It is very similar to the Japanese game Katamari Damacy. In the game, the player maneuvers around the scenery gobbling anything and everything in the path, increasing in size. Consumption of certain objects can help solve puzzles too. The game will be available on PS4, PC, iOS.
The Messenger (August 30)
It is a retro-action platformer Indie game developed by Sabotage and published by Devolver Digital. The game has been said to borrow generously from Ninja Gaiden. The X-factor of the game lies in the fact that it can be transformed into a 16-bit Metroidvania from 8-bit platformer back and fro. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
Strange Brigade (August 28)
Strange Brigade is developed by Rebellion Developments. It is a cooperative third-person shooter video game. The player is supposed to fight various mythological creatures and solve puzzles. The game will be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Blade Strangers (August 28)
Blade Strangers is developed by Studio Saizensen. It is a 2-D crossover fighting game. It involves one-on-one fights between characters from a wide range of video game franchises. The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
