Mizuki Tsujimura’s book Goman to Zenryo is being turned into a live action movie, set to hit screens on September 27.

In the film, Kis-My-Ft2 idol group member Taisuke Fujigaya will play Kakeru Nishizawa, while actress Nao takes on the role of Kakeru’s fiancee, Mami Sakaniwa.

Kentarō Hagiwara, known for his work on live-action adaptations like Tokyo Ghoul and Blue Period, is taking the director’s seat for the film. Yukako Shimizu is writing the script.

The story revolves around Kakeru Nishizawa and Mami Sakaniwa, who meet on a dating app and quickly decide to get engaged. However, shortly after their engagement, Mami disappears without a trace.

Yami-hara is being released in English by Yen Press. Vertical released Anime Supremacy! in English in October 2017, and the book inspired a live-action film adaptation in May 2022.
