Steven Universe is a Rebecca Sugar-created U.S.-based cartoon television series about a little boy called Steven Universe who happens to be the most juvenile participant of the Crystal Gems, a group of supernatural protectors that defend the Planet. Becoming the first woman to create a Cartoon Network Productions project, Sugar’s program has received favorable praise.
This tale centers on a globe guarded against terrible perils by the Crystal Gems, a group of Gems committed to protecting Humanity from their adversaries, “Homeworld Gems”. The hosts’ bodies contain mystical jewels that give the creatures their strength. The four crystalline stones are Steven, our eponymous character, Garnet, their leader, Pearl, the thousands-of-year-old mentor, and Amethyst, the semi-human.
This cool celestial animated program was a favorite of many kids, and even some adults, in America and all cartoon lovers. But like all good things, Steven Universe came to an end. On the 21st of January 21, 2019, the final episode, “Change Your Mind,” premiered. Casting light upon themes of self-acceptance and choice as Steven separates and rejoins with his Gem self, leaving White Diamond to make her choice on who she is.
The finale concluded with the Diamonds healing the Gems and traveling back to Homeworld as all the Gems gather around ukulele-playing Steven. The ending was emotional just as the ride the series had given to its audience. Though it would be quite difficult to top that for true Steven Universe fans, there are some cartoon shows that might get one out of the slump if not cure it. So not in any particular order, we present some amazing shows that you will find a new love for.

When not rescuing the planet and its residents, the kids live with each other as regular teens in Jump City, where there are no grownups to interfere with them or cause trouble. Like immature antics that escalate to unprecedented horizons of peril like getting a license to drive after wreckage, situations in this superhero flick are comical, chaotic, and slapstick, quite contrary to how you would expect a usual superhero story to proceed. Figures from the original show frequently return to the program, either with outlandish characterization. If getting weirded out by teen superheroes in the best ways as Steven does is your cup of tea, go for it.
