Episode 6 of Tokyo In April is… begins with Kazuma gifting Ren a shirt that he got for him, which he decides to wear to go out. On his way, he meets Kazuma’s mother, with whom he has a chat in the cafe, where she behaves skeptical of Ren for being a bad influence on her child.
He recalls how Kazuma’s mother did not want both of them to be together, so he also decides not to tell her about his relationship with Kazuma despite her finding out that both of them work at the same place.
Agitated, Kazuma’s mother leaves the cafe, and Ren on his own. Back outside Ren’s place, Kazuma awaits his love, but there is no information about his whereabouts. In addition, Ren doesn’t reply to any messages or calls left by Kazuma.
This gets Kazuma extremely worried since he is unable to find Ren anywhere in the market or in his house. The next day, it is revealed that Ren has resigned from his job while Sanada remains missing for quite some time now.
The worry of Kazuma goes to another level as he recalls his times with Ren thinking he has left Kazuma again. Meanwhile, a message from Ayumi gets him a little relief as she tells him about the email that she has received from Ren.
Both of them decide to get to the depth of it and find out where Ren is, leaving all of us on a cliffhanger about what the story might bring next.
