To Your Eternity Season 2 Episode 16 Synopsis
One day, a random Orb is cast on earth with no name to refer to except ‘it.’ ‘It’ is capable of changing its form depending on the reflection it captures. In the beginning, ‘It’ takes the shape of a rock, but with the rising temperature and changing of seasons, it eventually turns into moss.
It wasn’t until a wolf, who was on the brink of death, came near ‘It’ on a snowy day. Noticing the wolf, ‘It’ transformed into the creature. Earlier, reflecting a non-living object, It had no idea of its surroundings or whereabouts; but as soon as ‘It’ took the shape of the creature, ‘It’ became aware and conscious. ‘It’ noticed the owner of the dead wolf, who was a member of a tribe, alone and lost in the cold.
The boy is in hopes his tribe’s people coming back to get him, with plenty of food and shelter along the way. As ‘It’ takes the form of the boy’s wolf, ‘It’ follows him on his journey to find the rest of the boy’s tribe.
The story of To Your Eternity is one about turning an immortal into a mortal as it grows and develops its feelings and humanizes itself. The time It spends with the boy not only makes It experience new things but also form connections with the people It meets along the way, especially with the boy.
