This Life Starts as a Child Actor Chapter 26 will be airing next week! In the previous chapter, things seemed to be going for Kang Soohyun as he was finally appearing on a variety show he had been watching as a kid.
Soohyun had the opportunity to make a name for himself again and increase his popularity after his hiatus, but his other co-stars seem to be creating problems in this dream of his. Seora and Jiyoon, whom Soohyun was familiar with, would just not get along with each other!
As the show progresses and the arguments get more heated up, will Soohyun be able to save the day and prevent any mishap? Or will the first gig after his break end up in a disaster?
Recap
Kang Soohyun wakes up to his mom and dad laughing at pictures of him in his previous gig. Soohyun, still half asleep, tells them that he’s embarrassed and hopes no one will recognize him. His parents console him, saying how proud they are of him as a child actor and how lovely he looks.
After getting dressed, Soohyun goes back to elementary school after a gap year. He had taken a hiatus for dental care and was finally ready to face the world as a five-year-old. When Soohyun introduced himself in class, a few of the students recognized him.
However, they would also complain about how normal Soohyun looked and found it hard to believe he was a famous actor. After school, Soohyun goes to visit his manager and tells him about his exhausting day.
Soohyun’s manager tells him to try making an appearance on a variety show. He tells him that the show Bonahana by EBC was holding a special segment for their 1000th episode, and Soohyun would be the perfect fit for it.
The event was called “Children Running for Their Dreams,” and Bonahana planned on inviting a few child actors as their special guests. They would come up to listen to the troubles of their fellow children and try to give them good advice.
Bonahana held a special place in Soohyun’s heart as he vividly remembered how he would love to watch that show whenever he came back from school as a kid. He agreed and decided to go on the show.
His manager further said that it would be good exposure for him as children were already forgetting who he was after his one-year hiatus. On the day of the event, Soohyun is joined by Yoon Seora and Nam Jiyoon. All three of them knew and worked together before, so he hoped everything would go smoothly.
When they received the first call, Jiyoon and Seora had rather conflicting opinions. While Jiyoon urged the caller to chase their dreams even if it meant fighting their mom, Seora had a milder approach, saying how, as a parent, their mom must be worried about their future.
Seeing how their opinions were going nowhere, Soohyun gave his own opinion and told the caller to send a heartfelt letter to his mom so she could understand how he truly felt and let him chase his dreams.
Moving on to the other questions, Seora and Jiyoon would just not get along with each other. It had gotten so bad that it seemed there would be a huge argument between the two on live television.
The chapter ends with Jiyoon attacking Seora, asking why she always does what other people want, as if she had no emotions of her own.
