The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode Recap
The episode begins with Ju Seok feeling reminiscent of the memories and bonding he has shared with So Mun. The latter is still unconscious, and Ju Seok is left worried for him. Ju Seok’s encounter with Pil Gwang turns the table as Gwang says he is not interested in his quest for revenge, but he attacks Ju Seok to attain his powers.
Before his attack turns fatal for Ju Seok, Mun activates the territory by gaining consciousness. Ju Seok is able to absorb the powers from it and counterattack Gwang. Ju Seok leaves Gwang there wondering and envious of why he cannot have the powers that the former has.
On the other hand, the counters rejoice as Wi-gen is back, and So Mun has also shown improvement. When he returns, they sit down to have a meal, and they pamper him with care and good food, which fills his heart with gratitude. They assure him that they are all there for him.
While talking, he gets to know that Ju Seok visited his grandmother. He decides to meet her the next day and finds out what happened between the two. Seemingly, Ju Seok’s confession in front of grandmother was of no use as she still sees him as an angel sent by her daughter.
Meanwhile, Mo Tak uses Chung Jae to get to his main target, Ju Seok, and it works. When Ju Seok takes Chung Jae along to Min Ji’s memorial, his mother is present there and notices that he is about to kill himself. She is able to stop him temporarily till Chung Jae disappears, but later, the evil spirit in him takes over to attack his mother.
So Mun arrives in time to save her, but his move of activating the territory proves terrible because the evil spirit absorbs the power. Before it could do more damage, Ju Seok manages to control it and runs away. So Mun finds out that the mastermind behind everything is none other than Gwang, but no one intends to tell this to Ju Seok.
However, Gwang makes a confession on TV about killing Min Ji, and Ju Seok loses his cool. He lashes out at Gwang and kills him, but his spirit is too powerful to deal with. It manages to sweep away the evil spirit inside Ju Seok and takes over his body.
