After a long and tiring battle with the giant monster, Ho Jae finally manages to gain victory and clear the 19th floor. Even though Ho Jae fulfilled the quest of bringing Myongmyong back to his village, he still couldn’t believe that he cleared the 19th floor that easily.
Ho Jae’s worries turned into reality when the village shut down its entrance as Myongmyong and Ho Jae approached it. What is the reason behind this sudden action? And will Ho Jae be able to fix this? Find out in The Tutorial Is Too Hard Chapter 148!
The Chapter opens up with Lee Ho Jae taking on the colossal monster in the sky. The monster isn’t much of a threat to Ho Jae, but its sheer size makes it difficult for Ho Jae to dodge its attacks. Even though a huge size guarantees strong attacks, it still has a huge weakness, and Lee Ho Jae knows exactly how he should take advantage of this weakness.

The Monster attacks Ho Jae, but he easily dodges the attacks because of the monster’s slow speed(one of the disadvantages of being huge). Ho Jae looks at the monster and wonders how he will destroy the core of such a huge creature with just his sword. Failing to find any one-strike solution, Ho Jae decides to just slash the monster continuously until he destroys the entire core.
Ho Jae’s plan is solid and foolproof, but it would require a lot of stamina, as cutting down such a colossal monster is a task requiring a lot of time and effort. Eventually, after a long and strained battle, Ho Jae manages to defeat the monster. At the end of the battle, Ho Jae gets so tired that he feels like he would have died if the fight had gone on for any longer.
Ho Jae finally lands on the ground to rest for a bit after flying for so long. Suddenly, a message pops up, which shows Ho Jae that he has collected over 200k souls. This information makes Ho Jae realize that the monster he just defeated must have been made by many souls lumping together. After resting for a bit, Ho Jae suddenly remembers Myongmyong, so he decides to check if he’s okay.
Ho Jae removes the protection around his tent and then goes inside. Inside the tent, Ho Jae finds Myongmyong sitting secluded in a corner with tears running down his face. Myongmyong’s expression quickly changes to happiness when he finds that Ho Jae has returned safely.
Myongmyong runs towards Ho Jae and hugs him tightly, and he even starts crying because he is quite worried about Ho Jae. Ho Jae asks Myongmyong to calm down, and then he also embraces Myongmyong. After having a heartfelt moment together, Myongmyong and Ho Jae once again return to their journey.
After walking for a while, Ho Jae finally finds a settlement in the distance. He looks towards Myongmyong and tells him that they have reached their destination. Ho Jae asks Myongmyong if this settlement is truly his village, and Myongmyong nods in agreement.
Ho Jae and Myongmyong then walk towards the village, but Ho Jae can’t believe that this floor is so easy even though it is hell-level difficulty. He wonders if there are still traps lying around in the area, so he decides not to let down his guard. Just when Ho Jae started to think about more challenges from this floor, a message suddenly popped up saying that he had cleared floor 19.
Ho Jae couldn’t believe that he had cleared the 19th floor so easily, but his doubts cleared out when even the exit portal appeared. Ho Jae decides not to exit the floor so soon because he still needs to walk Myongmyong to his village at least.
As soon as Ho Jae and Myongmyong approach the village, the village entrance shuts down. Ho Jae couldn’t understand what happened, and then Myongmyong ran away into the forest. A mysterious figure appears in the distance, but Ho Jae decides to ignore this stranger because he needs to find Myongmyong.
Ho Jae rushes into the forest and eventually finds Myongmyong crying near a tree. He realizes that Myongmyong must be feeling lonely because he knows that Ho Jae is going to leave this floor. Ho Jae comes up with a solution to this problem, and he summons some of his minions to keep Myongmyong company after he’s gone. Ho Jae promises Myongmyong that he will protect him till the end.
