Searching for the lost member of the Lurolona Village, Naofumi and his friends have arrived in Zeltoble. As we move forward to The Rising of The Shield Hero Season 3 Episode 2, we will witness Naofumi and his team go up against the underground arena fighters. Naofumi needs to win this battle to get enough money to buy his village members. Will Naofumi win this fight filled with tricks and traps?
The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Episode 1 opens up with a short introduction of the Anime’s plot as Naofumi recalls his purpose for being in the isekai world. Naofumi and his team defeated the Spirit Tortoise a while ago, which means that the Phoenix would awaken soon.
Thanks to the shield created after defeating the Beast, Naofumi and his team have three and a half months to strengthen the defenses in their land. Naofumi thinks that he must be prepared to defeat the phoenix, but the sacrifice aura curse he got while fighting Kyo has still not left him.
The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Episode 1: Recap
Due to the curse, Raphtalia’s and Filo’s status also got affected. Raphtalia scouts the area ahead and finds the Faubrey flags waving in the distance. She wonders why these people have come to this place if they don’t want to fight the spirit tortoise. Naofumi remembers Ren, Itsuki, and Moyatsu as he needs to maintain his trust in them to be able to get stronger.
The focus shifts to a conversation between Mirella and Naofumi, which reveals that the other heroes went missing when Naofumi went to the other world. Mirella says that the Phoenix would wake up soon, and having even one of the heroes missing at such a time would be disastrous. She feels sad for the people caught up in these catastrophes.
Mirella requests Naofumi to protect her land as he’s the shield hero. Naofumi replies that she doesn’t need to request him because he will save his land no matter what. He then tells Mirellia about the Faubrey and the other three-nation armies standing near her kingdom. Mirella says that the Melromarc Kingdom is allied with the three nations for the time being, and so they are only here for relief measures.
Naofumi then inquires about the seven heroes in the world, and Mirella tells him that they can’t contact them as their whereabouts are unknown. Mirella then tells Naofumi that she has been able to find only one of the seven heroes, and that is the staff hero. Naofumi asks Mirellia about the location of the hero, and she tells him that the hero is in Melromarc.
Mirella shows the recovered body parts of the spirit tortoise to Naofumi, and then she asks him to be on guard as Malty has gone missing. Naofumi encounters the staff hero for a brief moment, but the staff hero doesn’t feel too happy after seeing him. Naofumi then leaves with Raphtalia and Filo to get new gear, and then he prepares to leave for Zeltoble.
The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 3 Episode 2: Predictions
After traveling for many days, Naofumi Raphtalia, Filo, and Rishia arrive at Zeltoble, where they meet the slave merchant Beloukas. Beloukas doesn’t waste time with unnecessary talks and takes Naofumi straight to the underground slave auction area.
Naofumi finds demi-humans being auctioned in the area with the label of Lurolona village. Raphtalia says that these slaves don’t belong to Lurolona village, but Beloukas argues that anything is fair in business.
Beloukas adds that the “Lurolona Brand” created by the shield hero has too much value in the slave market. Beloukas then tells Naofumi about the underground arena to help him buy back the slaves of the Lurolona village.
Naofumi takes Beloukas’s advice and heads for the arena to gather more information. After talking with Daneesa in the bar near the arena, Naofumi decides to take part in the fight alongside Filo and Raphtalia to earn some money!
