Taking us into the lives of the wives of Potomac, Maryland, this American reality series titled The Real Housewives of Potomac is currently airing its eighth season. The show is yet another version of The Real Housewives, focusing on the elite women of Maryland and their glass-like realities.
The new season has brought fans a glimpse into the lives of Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, and Nneka Ihim, along with special appearances by the friends of the housewives, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, and Keiarna Stewart.
Nneka Ihim is a new addition to the show, whereas the rest have been around since the show’s first season. The show was revealed to have gone through the making process sometime in April 2023, and in September of this year, the release of the new season was confirmed.
We have seen so many versions of the show that we already know the drill and how every new season will flow. The housewives are elite, well-off women with a status in society and an image to keep up. While they may have lavish lives, not everything is perfect around them, and sometimes that glass breaks and fans get to see the ugly cracks of their lives.
The show, more or less, stands us as a witness to the struggles that these women face and how they maintain a balance with their busy schedules, high-profile lives, and their issues. Tensions continue to be at an all-time high in the season, and we can barely contain our excitement for the upcoming episode.

The ongoing season has been dramatic in the least and has us wondering if the show will be able to go back to its lighter, happier self. The housewives have been getting into heated arguments, the intensity of which continues to increase with every episode.
The upcoming episode will take us and the housewives to Texas for a dramatic getaway, and you best believe there will be drama there. While all Ashley seems to want is for the wives to have fun and let loose while in Texas, the awkward air around them is still heavy, especially with Austin.
All plans of having fun in Texas seem to go down the drain when Robyn reveals that she feels pushed and attacked, causing her to have a breakdown. The episode will likely not be fun to watch as fans believe that old grudges and ego wars among the wives are taking the show in a weird direction.
At the start of the season, we were told that each wife had something intense going on in her life, from cheating rumors to losing business. Times are tough for the wives.
The previous fifth episode of the show had Ashley suggest a group trip to the wives with the hopes of breaking the thick ice present, but new revelations and curiosity add fuel to the already present fire between Wendy and Nneka.
The only short relief we had during the episode was the bonding sesh between Mia and Robyn when the two opened up about their struggles and vulnerabilities. But we seem to be back in hot waters in the upcoming episode.
