The anime delves into the life of Yukiya, a Yatagarasu in the fantasy realm of Yamauchi, governed by the Yatagarasu clan. His journey begins when he becomes the personal aide to the peculiar Crown Prince Wakamiya.
As events unfold, Yukiya finds himself drawn into a maze of plots, forging an unconventional bond with the prince.
The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master Premiere Date Announced
The website for The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master anime made a big announcement about its premiere date: Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:45 PM JST on NHK in Japan. Alongside this news, they introduced six new cast members to the series.
Eiji Takeuchi, known for his roles in Classroom of the Elite and Tokyo Revengers, will voice Sumio. Satoshi Hino, recognized for his work in Black Clover and Demon Slayer, will take on the role of Natsuka.
Joining them are Hiroshi Shirokuma, famous for his roles in Overlord and Log Horizon, as Rokon, and Kengo Kawanishi, known for his roles in Dr. Stone, Fruits Basket, and Demon Slayer, as Atsufusa.
Finally, Yoshino Aoyama and Atsuko Tanaka will lend their voices to Fujinami and Ōmurasaki no Omae, respectively. Aoyama, known for roles in Bocchi the Rock! and Nanashi Kaidan, will voice Fujinami.
Meanwhile, Tanaka, recognized for her work in Batman Ninja, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, and Naruto Shippuden, will take on the role of Ōmurasaki no Omae.
Yoshiaki Kyougoku, known for directing the first two seasons of Laid-Back Camp and its film, will helm the anime at Studio Pierrot. Overseeing the series’ scripts will be Yukiko Yamamuro, recognized for her work on the Touch live-action movie.
Joining them are Takumo Norita and Eisho Segawa, who will handle character design and music composition, respectively.
Norita, acclaimed for character designs in Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne and Broken Blade, will take on the role of character designer.
Segawa, known for composing music for the Gintama live-action movie, will be the music composer for the series. Lastly, Yuji Tange is set to serve as the anime’s sound director.
