The white team and the black team are doing their best in this mock relic war that would determine a good chunk of their grades. Recap
In the previous chapter of The Novel’s Extra (Remake), the White Team seemed to be relaxing after Jiyoon gets her hands on a relic but their peace is short lived because Rachel arrives with the Black Team members for an ambush. Nayoon looked especially angry because Rachel was gaining an upper hand quite easily.
Rachel and Nayoon fight one on one and Nayoon was starting to get overwhelmed by Rachel’s foreceful attacks when someone destroys the ground and Rachel falls through it. Rachel is bewildered but she soon realizes that Suho is behind the destruction and he finally makes his appearance.
Hajin uses his powers and sends a noxious gas through the vents to Tomer to put him to sleep. Tomer is flustered when he sees a suspicious gas coming from the vents but he isn’t able to do anything against it either and he ends up falling asleep, making Hajin’s plan successful.
Hajin goes to the lowest floor and finds the item in the management room. It turns out to be an enchanted awl that deals damage to the opponent and Hajin was happy since it would sell for quite a lot. Hajin moves along and finds a tired and ragged Rachel. He asks her what she was doing there and why she looked like that.
Rachel tells him about her altercation with Nayoon, Suho and the rest of the White Team, and the fact that she hadn’t found a relic yet. Hajin didn’t care much about his grade but he knew it was different for Rachel. He gives her his relic when the White Team suddenly appears.
