People are back to wishing they lived in a neighborhood like The Neighborhood, as the American sitcom returned to television on Monday, September 19 2022, with its first episode titled Welcome Back to the Neighborhood.
In Episode 1, we saw how Dave causes a community wide power disruption by accident, in his efforts to unhook only the Johnson house from the electrical grid, and Calvin has something to say about it in the lines of, “If you had stayed in Michigan we wouldn’t be in this situation.” Nonetheless, Calvin is a force of nature starting off the season with a block party because, well, nothing brings the neighborhood together quite like blackouts!
Meanwhile, as Marty’s engagement draws closer, Tina struggles to deal with the fact that she will not be the principal woman in his life anymore. She expresses this dilmena by being passive-aggressive, and goes on to poke her son about having a beach wedding that does not have either floors or air conditioning, despite seeing the brochure.
The Neighborhood Season 5 Episode 2 Preview
In the next episode from The Neighborhood’s fifth season, we will see Calvin taking the suggestion Dave had offered him, to try and promote his business using a newer, different method. Unfortunately, he comes to regret it not much later. Gemma enlists Tina’s help to assist her in the after-school music programme she registered for.
Episode 2 was written by Bill Martin and directed by no other than Victor Gonzalez.
REPOST:
I really like how developed Calvin has become as a character; that he's actually happy that everyone gathering around in person to just watch something together outside is just heartwarming to see. Also, his love for Vietnamese for cooking is just 💯#TheNeighborhood
