The Masked Dancer UK is a dance Television Show that is based on the American reality TV show of the same name, “The Masked Dancer”. But what many of the fans of this reality show may not know is that The Masked Dancer is actually inspired by another American TV show, “The Masked Singers”, which is an inspired version of a Korean reality singing game show of the same name. “Seems like too much inspiration is going on!”.
The show follows a format where celebrities take part in the dance show & they must wear a full body costume of their own choice along with a face mask to keep their identity a secret. After that, they have to dance to a given song, they can either perform solo or can bring a partner. After their performance ends, the judges will try to guess the performer’s name through the given clues. After every celebrity completes his performance, the judges and the audience will give their vote for their favorite dancer & the one who ends up with the least vote has to remove his mask in front of everyone, hence revealing his identity.
The Masked Dancer UK aired on “December 2021”, currently, the show has 2 seasons. For the 2nd season, 12 masked celebrities have been announced. Some of the masked celebrities are Liam Charles (stage name –Candelsitck), English Footballer David Seaman, actress Joanna Page & actor Jesse Metcalfe.
These are the celebrities whose identities have been revealed & are currently out of the show. A total of 5 celebrities are still safe (with their identity remaining unknown), while 7 of the 12 celebrities’ identity has already been exposed.

Up until now, 12 contestants have participated in the show. In episode 1, the winners were Old Socks, Scissors, and Prawn Cocktail, the one who lost was Astronaut, whose identity was then revealed as American actor Jesse Metcalfe. In 2nd episode, the winners were Onomatopoeia, Sea Slug, and Tomato Sauce, & the celebrity whose identity got revealed was “Pig”, Joanna Page a Welsh actress.
During episodes 3, 4, & 5, the celebrities whose identities got revealed were – Prawn Cocktail, he was Stacy Dvoly, a journalist & TV presenter (Who was out on episode 3) In episode 4, Cactus was revealed as Gareth Malone, who worked as a broadcaster & a television celebrity. In episode 5, Tomato Sauce was revealed as Stephanie McGovern, she was a journalist & a TV personality. Finally, in episode 6, Candle Stick’s identity was revealed as Liam Charles, a “British Baker” & a TV presenter.

The Masked Dancer UK Season 2 Episode 7 Preview
In the next episode of The Masked Dancer UK Season 2, the remaining contestants, Old Socks, Onomatopoeia, Pearly King & Scissors, will perform their dances in front of the judges & audiences. Although each one of them is pretty good in their performance so it would be too early to say who would be eliminated & whose identity would be revealed. It’s all up to their performance & audience’s choice. Although currently, Onomatopoeia is currently at risk, could his identity be revealed in the 7th episode? Well, we have to wait for that.
