The upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2 will support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) when played in docked mode, according to Nintendo’s official store listing.

The listing also confirms HDR support, giving players with compatible televisions a more modern presentation of the classic Zelda adventure.

Nintendo’s official product page specifically lists docked VRR support for the upcoming remake. The feature allows the display’s refresh rate to dynamically match the game’s output, potentially providing smoother gameplay when used with a compatible TV.

The confirmation arrives shortly after Nintendo Switch 2 received its Version 23.0.0 firmware update, which introduced VRR support in TV mode. Nintendo previously confirmed that the feature requires both compatible software and a compatible television.

Interestingly, Nintendo did not highlight Ocarina of Time’s docked VRR functionality during its recent Zelda 40th Anniversary presentation. The store listing therefore provides an additional technical detail ahead of the remake’s November 2026 release.
