There’s a very famous saying that law always comes with a great price, and not everyone can pay. Well, what if someone told you there’s a café providing free legal advice? Yeah, you heard it right. This new ongoing drama, The Law Cafe, is slowly becoming everyone’s favorite. People are simping hard on the main lead couples who surprised us all with their on-screen chemistry.
Everyone seems to agree that Lee Seung-gi and Lee Se-young make the perfect couple. Both of them are extremely talented and versatile actors, and people expect the best out of the two, especially after Lee Seung-gi’s performance in Vagabond and Korean Odyssey. Lee Se-young slowly built her career, and her performance in The Red Sleeve left everyone wondering how talented she was.
They both were first seen together in Korean Odyssey, and people shipped them together since then, and finally, we get to see them together. The show premiered on 5th September 2022 on KBS2 and aired every Monday and Tuesday. It’s a show which tells the love story of Kim Jeong-ho, played by Lee Seung-gi, a former prosecutor who left his job and is famously known as a ‘monster genius.’ Kim Yu-ri played Lee Se-young, who is also a lawyer who wishes to open a law cafe.
The story builds up as the main lead opens a law cafe together to give free legal advice to people, and each time, they solve a case together, which brings them closer to each other. The stupid fights and arguments keep the audience entertained because they are very funny together.

The Law Cafe: Episode 12 Summary
The episode starts with extremely passionate and streamy intimate moment shared by the main leads as they are ready to explore their new relationship together but soon gets caught and disturbed by their friends.
Kim Yu-ri wants to keep the relationship a secret from all the others, which upsets and confuses Kim Jeong-ho. But they are so cute and innocent that they make it so obvious to the others that are dating.
This episode was titled ‘Romance and Horror,’ which explores the meaning of what it means to love someone and how a relationship should work. The psychological pressure of someone following you all the time and the side effects of it. This episode explores everything. Jeong-ho and Yu-ri let go of their past relationship and realize that they both like each other.
Yu-ri notices that her law cafe is the same building that she and Jeong-ho decided to buy all those years ago. She was the one who moved passed their relationship, but he was still holding into it. Before dating each other, they both had terrible experiences in finding their partners. Yu-ri never prioritized her relationships, and no one was able to charm Jeong-ho until she.
They both enjoyed each other’s company even though they didn’t agree on the same things most of the time. Now that they have finally started dating, they can’t get enough of each other. Embracing even the smallest thing. Yu-ri did take her time to realize her feelings while the audience was just waiting for that perfect and hottest kiss in the k-drama world. They both have very different ideas about how to proceed with their relationship.
Jeong-ho wants to take it slow and enjoy every cute little step while moving forward with this, but our over-enthusiastic Yu-ri doesn’t want to waste any more time and go all the way in without any breaks. They both tease each other, making the audience excited and desperately waiting for the next episode. We just can’t get enough of them. At the same time, the rest of the neighborhood is growing sick of their obvious secret relationship.
Dr. Woo-jin’s old stalker is back. Along with that, they discover that Yu-ri hit and run driver is dead, which is quite shocking and scary. Jeong-ho doesn’t want Yu-ri to make any impulsive decisions that will danger her life, but she sets out alone to solve the case because she doesn’t want him to bodyguard her 24/7. Jeong-ho, who has to respect her decision, lives in constant anxiety about her safety as well as his cousin Woo-jin.
The next day, Yu-ri decides to meet another lawyer Da-young who is also interested in law cafe and pro-bono cases. Not knowing what she is walking into, Yu-ri simply trusts everyone around her. Da-young, the stalker, Woo-jin, secretly drugs her and kidnaps Yu-ri. At the same time, Jeong-ho and his teammates capture the stalker’s photographer and start to integrate him.
Not knowing that Yu-ri is in real danger, which he later gets to know from the photographer. It infuriates him, and in frustration, he bursts out to find her. Da-young, who has this illusion that Woo-jin and Yu-ri are dating, makes her very hostile towards her. Da-young breaks into Yu-ri’s house several times to steal her items so that she can look just like her, which will help her to make Woo-jin fall in love with her.
Yu-ri discovers her wearing her clothes and shoes and tries her explain to her that she misunderstood the whole situation. Unaware of the fact that Woo-Ji likes Yu-ri and never expresses his emotions surprises her, she feels sympathetic towards him. Da-young tries to kill her out of jealousy and anger, not understanding that what is feel towards Woo-jin is not love but a violent obsession.
Human emotion is truly complex and, if not guided in the right direction, can harm them and others. Da-young lives in a delusion that if she impersonates Yu-ri, she will Woo-jin affection. Here, Jeong-ho’s worst fear has come true. He can’t find her and helplessly tries every possible way to find her and lives with this guilt that it’s his fault that he’s not capable enough to find her.
Pyun-wrong, Yu-ri’s second-class stalker, saves her with his heroic entry and calls himself her prince charming. Yu-ri is not very happy with his presence but thankful enough for saving her. Jeong-ho receives a call from the police station that Yu-ri is safe and he can take her home. Woo-jin stays back while Jeong-ho runs to the police station. When he finds her with Pyun, he loses his temper and beats the shit out of him.
Yu-ri tells him that Pyun saved her, and they still haven’t captured Da-young. Everyone now runs towards Woo-jin’s house to save him. Da-young blames him for her condition and for not loving her. She first tries to kill herself as she doesn’t want to live in a world where Woo-jin is in love with someone else. Woo-jin tries to save her, but then she decides to kill him as well.

You can’t force someone to love you. There’s a difference between loving someone and being obsessed with one. Love is when you try to find happiness while looking at your loved ones, and obsession hurts your loved ones. Woo-jin explains this to Da-young until the police arrive and arrest her. Yu-ri runs towards Woo-jin and gives him a long hug which confuses everyone else in the room.
She understands his feelings and the fact that she doesn’t feel the same about him. But she also acknowledges his feelings towards her, and she respects that. What happened to take it all slow? Yu-ri gets what she wants. She very smartly and seductively traps Jeong-ho, and there’s no going back. The audience once again gets to watch some hot steamy moments shared by the main leads.
