The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is a manga which is also known as Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta. It is written and illustrated by Koume Fujichika. The manga has been going on for quite some time, and recently, during the month of January 2023, an anime adaptation was announced to be in the works. They have released a trailer and teaser visual for the fans to introduce the characters along with the staff and cast information for the series.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses New Anime Promo and Preview
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses had released a second promotional video, with the opening theme song on 21st April 2023. The opening song is confirmed to be a debut called ‘NAME’ from a 16-year-old singer, Tsuzuri. The preview also reveals the name of some of the cast members.
Award-winning voice actress Shion Wakayama is going to voice the main character Ai Mie while Masahiro Ito is lending his voice to the character of Kaede Komura. The direction is done by Susumu Kudo under Studio GoHands, who have taken the project of animating the series. It is also announced that the series will air in July.
Other staff members are Hiroshi Ohkubo, who is the main animator, along with Hisashi Muramatsu as the sound director. Jimmy Thumb P is responsible for composing the music. Additionally, Keiji Tani, Makoto Furuta, and with Takayuki Uchida are credited as chief animation directors.
A lot of well-known people in the industry are involved in the project, raising the expectation of the fans. The trailer and preview look like the animation project is going splendidly.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Plot
The series was not directly serialized in any magazine, and Koume took it upon themself to put the work put in the world through a Twitter account. People liked the content a lot, and due to its popularity, it was later picked up to be serialized in November 2018.
The plot revolves around our two main protagonists Kaede Komura and his deskmate Ai Mie. The storyline is silly and funny, so it works well in the genre of romantic comedy. Ai keeps on forgetting to wear her glasses, and as she has terrible eyesight, it becomes difficult for her to go around her daily school work without them. The scatterbrain Ai has to squint her eyes to see, and Kaede finds this very adorable.
Thankfully, Kaede seems to be intrigued by his deskmate and is more than happy to help. As they continue to be in contact with each other, Kaede’s crush on Ai grows more. At the same time, Ai also starts to look forward to spending time with Kaede and what started as a friendship of necessity grows into something more. Their blossoming relationship becomes the focus of the plot and it is quite interesting to witness their growth along the journey of their lives.
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Release Date
The anime adaptation was announced on January 13, 2023. In the recent update, it is notified that the anime will start broadcasting in the month of July 2023 on Tokyo MX and other networks. A definitive date has not been provided as of yet. However, fans are looking forward to any other news release for a fixed date which should be announced soon enough.
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses seems like the perfect rom-com to watch this summer with a bucket of popcorn and a glass of a cold drink.
