The show “The Food That Built America” came out on the History TV channel on August 11, 2019, and quickly became a hit among the audience. It is about big household food brands across America that changed the world or the country by revolutionizing the industry, breaking barriers, and changing America or the world. The show showcases stories of individual brands and how they became what they are today.
The show was being distributed by A&E Networks, which led to some problems regarding the viewing experience for people outside the USA, but it still managed to pull in viewers.
Each episode is an independent episode with actors re-creating epic moments from the lives of the founders and the company in a dramatic, narrated, and commented manner in a documentary style with a touch of History Channel’s storytelling power. It’s a delight to watch. Even if you are not a culinary expert or fan, you are highly likely to become one after watching the show.
The stories that have been shown in this series are based on facts and events that build these multinational companies, and each episode starts the story of some of the biggest food company founders like Milton Hershey, John and Will Kellogg, Henry Heinz, C.W. Post, the McDonald brothers and more.

The Food That Built America: Season 4 Recap
This season the show is taking things to the next level by showcasing rivalry, competition, and politics of the industry in its episodes. So, without spoiling your experience, let’s take a recap; the second episode of season 4, titled “Holiday Treats,” the episode showcased the rivalry between companies that make treats, sweets, and delicacies for the holiday seasons like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc. and how they changed the entire game of the market and consumers through this competition.
Season 4 is produced by Kim Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub, Yoshi Stone, Jim Pasquarella, and Mary E. Donahue from the production company named Lucky 8. The entire series is brilliantly narrated by Campbell Scott, one of the strongest voices on TV right now, in my opinion, and presented by Adam Richman and his team.
