The First Descendant Permanently Bans 6 Players and Penalizes 233 More in Latest Crackdown

The First Descendant has taken action against 239 players in its latest crackdown on abusive users. According to a recent notice from The First Descendant’s official website, the enforcement action covered the period between August 14 and August 20, 2026, with six players receiving permanent game bans and another 233 receiving separate matchmaking penalties.

The action is part of the game’s ongoing effort to address cheating, unfair exploitation, and disruptive behavior. Nexon stated that it continues to inspect abusive gameplay to ensure Descendants can play in a more pleasant environment and encouraged players to report suspicious behavior through the in-game reporting system.

Two players were permanently banned for the creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs. Another four players received permanent bans for exploiting processes related to the Open Store payment system to gain unfair advantages.

The larger group of 233 players was penalized after unusual gameplay activity was detected. Nexon also said action was taken in accordance with its operational policy against records of uncooperative gameplay, resulting in separate matchmaking penalties for those accounts.

This follows previous enforcement actions by The First Descendant against similar violations, including unauthorized programs, payment exploitation, and disruptive player behavior. The game’s ongoing crackdown comes as Nexon continues to operate and expand its multiplayer looter-shooter experience with new updates and content.

Nexon clarified that the crackdown results include actions based on both player reports and its own monitoring. Players who believe they were wrongly penalized over Open Store payment exploitation can submit an inquiry through the official website’s customer service and 1:1 support channels.

For cases involving payment-process exploitation through chargebacks, affected players are instead instructed to contact the platform store where the payment was made. Nexon concluded the notice by saying it will continue working to maintain a more enjoyable gameplay environment for all players.
