The second season of “The Eminence in Shadow” opening episode picks up just where the previous one left off, and it’s a blast to watch. Our main character, Cid, and his sister Claire, are in the Lawless City in this episode. The people of the town are flipped upside down as the immortal vampire is ignited by the blood-red moon. But Cid isn’t your standard hero.

He’s quite cool and likes to act in command despite his silliness. In this episode, it’s hilarious that he even plays Mary, a well-known vampire hunter. At the end of the episode, he gets involved in a significant struggle between two powerful city officials.

The reason we love Cid so much is timelyly brought up in this episode. Even though the Cult of Diabolos and other actual threats surround Cid’s group, Shadow Garden, Cid sees every challenge as a chance to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a hero. The story is particularly captivating because of how Cid’s wild imagination contrasts with Shadow Garden’s careful operation. And don’t worry, Cid and Shadow Garden will engage in a fantastic conflict in this episode.

The major characters of the story seem to be Cid, his sister, and a few other mysterious characters, not Shadow Garden. While it may disappoint some fans, it also means that Cid will face new challenges and experiences in Season 2. It’s great news that the first episode of Season 2 seems to seamlessly and logically follow Season 1. The animation is still very good, possibly much better than before.

Although the plot deviates from expectations, the characters, humor, and action are still terrific. That is a huge benefit for everyone who likes the anime’s original episodes. Like the first season, this episode won’t let down viewers. “The Eminence in Shadow” is the first episode of Season 2 and an excellent addition to the entire series.

This type of material may be interesting to some people while being distracting or offensive to others. Understand that it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Like the first season, audiences won’t be let down by this episode.
