The televised anime adaptation of Yūsei Matsui’s manga The Elusive Samurai revealed a new promotional video during a streamed special.
The video announced that the anime is scheduled to premiere on July 6 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV, with broadcasts on 26 additional channels.
The series will air every Saturday, promising an exciting weekly viewing experience for fans. At an advance premiere screening in Kamakura City on June 23, cast members Asaki Yuikawa, Yūichi Nakamura, and Hinaki Yano, who also hosted the streamed special, will make appearances.
The anime will feature newcomer Asaki Yuikawa as the protagonist, Hojo Tokiyuki, alongside Yūichi Nakamura voicing Suwa Yorishige.
The cast includes other talented voice actors such as Hinaki Yano, Mari Hino, Sayumi Suzushiro, Aoi Yūki, and Kikunosuke Toya.
Directed by Yuta Yamazaki at CloverWorks, with character designs by Yasushi Nishiya, the anime boasts a skilled production team. Staff members include Yogoinu for prop design, Saki Takahashi for sub-character design, and Kazuko Nakashima for color design.
Historical architecture research is overseen by Riichi Kamome, and typography is handled by Yūto Hama. With such a talented team behind it, The Elusive Samurai anime promises to deliver an amazing adaptation of Matsui’s manga series.
