The Dog Academy is a latest Britain reality program specially appealing to dog lovers out there.
Premiering on 30th March, 2023, Dog academy is a series where top dog trainers in Britain take it upon themselves to enlighten troubled dog owners about the behavior and psychology behind dogs and their actions. They receive requests from throughout the country, welcoming desperate owners to tame their wildest, naughtiest dogs, and training them to follow instructions well.
Through this show, viewers can get to learn the right do’s and don’ts regarding their dogs and their caretaking. Dog academy is sure to be a very thoughtful and interesting watch as experts take on difficult cases and help concerned people.
Dog Academy is an eight episode series where top experts invite desperate owners who wish to straighten their worrisome pets and to build positive relationship with their furry friends. This show includes Victoria Stilwell, the lead trainer and consultant who was also the creator of the popular series, ‘Its me or the Dog.’ They do not follow strict procedures or harmful, punishing tactic as they can have opposite effects than desired. Instead they follow the philosophy of first identifying the ‘why’ of the behavior displayed by the dogs and try to understand the basis of their problem. After this they are able to diagnose and provide the best solution in the interest of the dogs and their owners.
The academy is set in grand manor where the trainers focus on separating the dogs and their owners and working with both parties individually to repair the relationship.
The Dog Academy Episode 1 Recap
Premiered in the last week of March, the pilot episode of The Dog Academy featured a fierce cockapoo bear who was at fault for driving his owners- Paul and Louise apart. The couple’s marriage became strained because of the stress they got under due to their dog’s intensely aggressive behavior. Victoria confessed to feeling scared for the couple and fearing their relationship becoming broken. To save this failing relationship, the first step for the dog trainers Victoria and Adam was to tame the bear’s ferocious behavior. Maybe the dog was provoked because of its owners’ behavior and Louise’s punishments? The answer to the dog’s aggressive behavior is what they needed to find to come up with an effective solution.
A mother-son pair approaches the trainers with a request to help them with the attitude problem presenting itself in their 11-year-old Chihuahua. Apparently she grew an increased affinity to not listening to instructions and picking fights with other dogs. So much so that the owners had to restrict their pet to a safety bag constantly. Will the trainers really be able to straighten this old dog out?
