The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy: Episode 1 Recap
In the previous episode of The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy, the world for the story is set, and we get some background story about the Demon Lord and why he was sleeping.
We are shown that a thousand years ago, the Undead King Leonis Death Magnus was the only Lord still standing after the other five demon lords were defeated.
Eventually, a hero defeats Leonis, but he casts a spell before falling and swears to wipe out humanity when he wakes up. I guess it is typical for demon lords to hate humans. The story progresses in a cliche way when Riselia Ray Crystalis breaks the seal on Leonis by mistake.
Leonis also gets a mission from the Goddess of Rebellion that he worships about killing off the monsters that had appeared in the world when he was sleeping.
That is an unexpected development because the viewers have a lot of questions now. Who is the Goddess, and why did she ask a reincarnated Demon Lord to handle it?
The most interesting part is that the world has completely changed, so Leonis has a lot to learn. Of course, he has the MC buffs, but the second life is not smooth for him. As it goes, Leonis will probably keep his abilities hidden for now so that he doesn’t look suspicious.
The school life should be interesting to watch because now it’s a once mighty demon lord interacting with children.
The series has a lot of potential because it has better world-building and writing than the typical fantasy light novels. We are hoping that it will remain consistently entertaining till the end.
