Here goes a detailed recap of episode 6 before getting to The Chosen S3 Episode 7.
In the last episode, Nathanael saw Simon honing a Sicari dagger similar to the one he threw away when he decided to join Jesus. He tries to determine why Simon purchased a new dagger rather than merely honing a more ordinary blade like the others.
When Nathanael cannot get any response from him, he asks James over. Little James learns from Simon Z that Zealots are chasing him. Simon says he wants to protect Jesus but not let him get involved in this, despite James’ urging him to tell Jesus everything.
A few minutes later, a person from the Decapolis arrives carrying news for Philip and Andrew in the late hours of the night, which causes the disciples to become anxious. The disciples once more question if John, the Baptist’s disciples, are spies when they arrive at the palace.

Recap of episode 6 of The Chosen
Simon tries to face the Zealots, and for this, he travels to the Tent City. He soon discovers that he is surrounded by people against him. But rather than defending himself, he falls to his knees, prays, and tells the Zealots that he left the order to serve the Messiah.
They hesitate to attack him because Gaius is there at the spot too. They start mocking Simon and ask why Rome remains in control if the Messiah has arrived. The Messiah has not arrived in the way that people anticipated, said Simon. He also makes a revelation. He says that after seeing his brother’s recovery, he has renounced his dagger and the path of bloodshed.

When Jesus returns to town, he starts working miracles in front of the location where people are watching Simon and the Zealots having an argument. The chief Zealot observes both Jesus’ interaction with the Pharisees and his reaction to John’s disciples.
The Zealot notices Jesus as he encourages people not to reject the invitation to repentance that he is making. Simon Z then has a conversation with the Zealot. The Zealot claims to understand very little but knows that Simon Z has not shown himself unfaithful.
The main Zealot claims he must find his own way and makes a commitment to return to the order and share what he learns, even if some of his fellow assassins are less confident. Gaius shows up at Quintus’ office. Quintus says that Atticus is heading to Pilate to snitch on him after inquiring whether Gaius has ever had a gossiping younger brother.
That is a piece of bad news since Quintus will want Pilate’s support if he’s ever going to move forward with his aim. Gaius reassures Quintus that his track record speaks for itself, but Quintus is unconvinced and reprimands Gaius for his inability to maintain order in the Tent City. Since none of the tent residents have cash and also because Jesus is back, producing more chaos, Atticus advocates taxing them.
John, the Baptist’s followers, are met by James, Simon Peter, and John, who put them to the test to ensure sure they are not spies plotting to kill Jesus. They must all wait for Jesus to arrive in town to deliver John’s news when they’ve all established their identities. They navigate the mob to where Jesus works wonders of healing as word of his return reaches them.
