Chapter 12 of “The Children Of The Shiunji Family,” titled “Can Former Twin Siblings Get Along And Play Games?” opens us to the siblings Arata and Ouka bantering; about what game to play. Ouka suggests that they play Splatoon, a game by Nintendo.
“Splaouka” starts with Arata asking Ouka if she has improved at Splatoon. To his surprise, she has- as she has been practicing over thirty hours the previous week. Her revelation forces Arata into a nostalgic epiphany.
He remembers how they used to play games as young kids. He would emerge victorious every time they played, and what a sore loser she was! She would put a lock-hold on him every time she lost. He wonders why she agreed to play these games. She never appreciated them in the past. He feels she has become strange since the fateful day their father told them the truth. However, his distraction causes him to lose as Ouka skillfully dominates the game with five kills.
