Today, we bring you an extensive recap of the latest episode and a few predictions for the next one. Beware of spoilers because we don’t want to ruin all the fun for you!
The Blacklist Season 10 Episode 18 Recap
The narrative starts with Reddington and Agnes on the phone in Miami, Florida. He meets with two competing families, Raoul and Vincente, in the interim to go over a proposal. During dinner, Vincente and Leon both experience anaphylactic reactions, going into shock at the same time. Reddington surmises that the Sandoval and Montano families are the intended victims and that they have been exposed to an undetectable poison.
Reddington gets in touch with Dembe and suggests that Wormwood, a producer of poison, might be involved. Due to a mining accident, the families have a protracted feud that has resulted in a cycle of retaliation. The others in the room are reassured by Reddington that he has a top investigator working the case and that they must stay put until they learn more.
The Taskforce learns about the circumstance at the same time, and Cooper gives Herbie the order to represent Reddington as the team’s medical authority. They learn that a deadly substance linked to Wormwood was added to the food served to the families. Vincente Sandoval’s daughter Gabriella comes into the room to inquire about the peace talks but is unaware that her father has passed away. Herbie informs Reddington of the knowledge held by the Taskforce.
Ressler looks into the chef, Naomi Lindquist, who claims to have seen the argument and admitted to tasting the food despite being allergic to nuts. Her continued existence proves that she was not the intended victim.
Liz Keen’s corrupt past and her connection to Reddington are revealed when Ressler’s sponsor, Jonathan, confronts him about her. Tito is captured by Dembe and Siya, but he only admits to making threats and denies killing his family. Tito is poisoned and collapses all of a sudden.
Reddington learns of Tito’s response to his touch from Dembe, and they both realize that five people have already passed away. Investigation reveals that Gabriella ordered the waiters to wear gloves, which supports Dembe’s deduction that the poison was in the dishes. When Gabriella is confronted by Reddington, he discovers that she planned the scheme to get rid of everyone who got in the way of her relationship with Michael, a member of the rival family.
The Taskforce discovers that Dr. Harris is actually Wormwood and that the poison originated with a chemical company. He is questioned by Dembe and Siya, who demand information from him. The victims must wait for another seven hours after learning there is no antidote.
Reddington departs in the interim to attend Agnes’ ballet performance, and Gabriella is detained. He lets Cooper know where he is by sending her a picture of Agnes from the concert. Agnes notices Reddington in the audience as she performs.
In a side story, Jonathan approaches Hudson for help and claims to have proof of Liz Keen’s criminal activity. This could lead to a possible alliance against the Taskforce.
As he makes his way back home, Reddington talks with Cooper about the value of taking chances and savoring the present while highlighting his devotion to Agnes and the happiness she brings into his life.
