The idol unit Ho-Kago Palette, created as part of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten music project, has announced that it will officially graduate this month. The group’s official X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed that July 21, 2026, will be its final day of activities, bringing its short but memorable run to a close.
How Ho-Kago Palette Was Formed
Ho-Kago Palette began as a solo music project centered on Mahiru Shiina, the beloved heroine of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. The project launched on November 4, 2025, with voice actress Manaka Iwami performing in character. Its first releases included a cover of “Aoi Sango Shō” and the original song “Tenshi Janai Kara” (“Because I’m Not an Angel”), giving fans a new way to experience Mahiru beyond the anime.

The project grew several months later, on April 11, 2026, when Haruka Shiraishi and Marika Takano joined as Chitose Shirakawa and Ayaka Kido. Their addition transformed the solo act into the three-member idol unit Ho-Kago Palette, expanding the music project into a full group.
The trio made its official debut with the single “Romantic Memories,” released the same day the expanded lineup was announced. Over the following months, Ho-Kago Palette continued releasing music and appearing in fan-focused events, becoming a popular extension of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten franchise.
Ho-Kago Palette’s Final Farewell
Ho-Kago Palette officially announced its graduation on July 14, 2026, through the group’s social media accounts. In its message, the group thanked fans for supporting the project and invited everyone to join its final broadcast.
The announcement encouraged fans to be part of the group’s last appearance, asking them to “Please make sure to witness the final moments of Ho-Kago Palette.” The heartfelt message quickly spread among fans following coverage from Dengeki Online.
The farewell graduation live radio will stream on YouTube at 8:00 p.m. JST on July 21. Voice actresses Manaka Iwami, Haruka Shiraishi, and Marika Takano are all scheduled to appear together for one final broadcast as Ho-Kago Palette.
