The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Episode 7 A Promise With The Angel: Recap
Amane and Akazawa meet in the school, and Akazawa asks Amane to allow him to stay at his house for the spring holidays, which will begin soon. When asked for the reason behind this, Akazawa explains that he had a fight with his father because of Chitose. Amane allows him and texts Mahiru about it.
After arriving at Amane’s House, Akazawa is greeted by Mahiru. Mahiru also makes delicious food for Akazawa and Amane, and they compliment her cooking. Akazawa teases Amane after seeing how close he and Mahiru have gotten.
The next day, Chitose arrives at Amane’s house and declares that she will also be staying at his house for a few days as Akazawa is also there. Akazawa and Chitose observe Amane and Mahiru and get shocked at the fact that they are not dating. Chitose also teases Mahiru and explains to her how she can get close to Amane.
Akazawa and Chitose leave the next morning, and Amane notices an unknown person outside Mahiru’s house. He observes until the person leaves and then approaches Mahiru to know her identity. Mahiru explains that that unknown person was her mother. Amane grabs Mahiru’s hand and takes her with him.
Amane asks Mahiru to tell him everything about what happened. Mahiru insists that it isn’t interesting, but Amane still wants to know. Mahiru says that her parents didn’t get married because of love or mutual trust. They were married because of family and business-related issues, and so they never wanted a child.
They had Mahiru “by accident,” and so they always hated her. They never gave her any parental love and only provided her with money to do anything she wanted, and that’s the only reason they have no expectations from her either. Mahiru says that the only reason her parents can’t divorce either is because of her.
She also says that she feels stupid for even trying to get validation from them. After hearing everything, Amane hugs Mahiru and tells her it’s okay to cry. Mahiru asks Amane to promise her that he’ll always watch over her, to which Amane agrees happily.
Amane and Mahiru go for a walk afterward and watch the cherry blossom. Mahiru hugs Amane once again and reminds him never to leave her side and watch over her always.
