The American Experience is set to return to the stage with Season 34, Episode 7. The show running for almost three decades, is one of the most famous historical information-based series. So basically, American Experience is a documentary that tells us about American history, how the story developed and what significant events shaped the country’s present and future.
The show’s first-ever episode was about the Great San Francisco Earthquake, and the episode was named the same. The event was documented, and people who saw it live told their tales of how it all happened and their survival status.
Loved by both viewers and critics, the show has received enormous support, alongside numerous awards and nominations. One of the documentaries, Last Day in Vietnam, was nominated for Best Documentary Feature in 2015.
With over 375 episodes, numerous hosts and narrators, and 35 years on the run, the story of Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt is top-rated on IMDb. It is impossible to talk about all the episodes here; therefore, here is a brief recap of the stories in Season 34 of the American Experience.
The American Experience Season 34 So Far
Episode 1 of Season 34 began with “Riveted: The History of Jeans.” Then came “The American Diplomat,” telling the story of three African-American ambassadors who ranked high in the American administration at this time of racial barriers.
In 1928, the St. Francis Dam broke the dam wall and let water 20 stories high into Los Angeles, destroying life and property. After the dam broke, a new project, the Hoover Dam, was presented, and the next episode, “Flood in the Desert,” is the story of the same. Now comes Plague at the Golden Gate, the tale of the Black Death, which knocked North America’s gate at the beginning of the 20th century, yes, in the year 1900.
It begins with the story of the Chinese worker who was found dead in the basement of a hotel in Chinatown and ended with how the doctors saved the city and the country from a massacre. The season’s last episodes ended with “Taken Hostage,” Part One and Two. The story of the 52 American diplomats captured at the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran.
A 444-day struggle continued between the two powers, and this was a major event that also led to the modern-day atrocities between America and Iran. The episode was portrayed with help from those who survived the year-long barrage and two female foreign officers who helped uncover the real truth.

Where To Watch The American Experience Season 34 Episode 7
The American Experience Season 34 Episode 7 will air on the PBS TV channel, and you can watch it there. In addition, you will also be able to watch it on the PBS Streaming site and Apple TV. You can watch the previous season here too, but the series is broken, and not all seasons are available, so you might need multiple subscriptions to watch all the previous seasons.
It is also available on iTunes, Prime Video, and DIRECTV, but only three or four seasons are available; I don’t know why they discontinued adding more seasons. It would probably be because of the American history-centered nature of the show. Well, good thing that it is not a necessity to watch previous seasons to catch up with new stories.
