The 99th Bride Of The Duke Chapter 67 Recap
The chapter opens up with Grace standing on her balcony while thinking about the things Ignis told her about. She thinks that maybe it’s just that she has a good eye for people because she already realized that Lilly was up to something, but Grace why Noel is pretending to be under an illusion when he’s immune to it. After this, the night passes by, and the next day begins.
In the morning, Noel announces to everyone that from this moment onwards, Grace will be officially recognized as the second lady of the house of Felton. Vanessa asks Noel why he is telling them about this all of a sudden.
Noel says that he felt like this was the best time because everyone has gathered for breakfast right now. Vanessa still tries to argue with Noel’s decision, but Grace stops her by saying that she doesn’t need to worry about her.
Grace says that she’s done eating, and so she’ll go back. Lilly thinks that this isn’t fun if Grace just ignores all her taunts, and so she decides to provoke her. Lilly smirks and calls out for Grace to ask her if she’s running away like an old woman who just got her husband stolen by a young girl. Everyone starts laughing at Grace, but she doesn’t react to Lilly’s provocation.
The focus then shifts to Terry sitting alone in the garden of the Emperor’s palace. He starts drinking while thinking how Felton isn’t responding to him, and now even Penelope has refused to run away with him.
Suddenly, Penelope Pops up from behind a pillar and asks Terry what’s wrong. Terry forgets everything and asks Penelope why she’s roaming outside because it could be dangerous. Penelope says that it’s fine because the Emperor permitted her to go outside for 2 hours.
Terry sighs and says that Penelope would’ve been completely free if she just agreed to run away with him. Penelope moves a little closer and asks Terry if he’s mad at her. Terry blushes and says no, and so Penelope asks him if he’s mad.
Terry’s eyes get numb, and he says that he always thought he and Penelope were closer. Penelope gets even closer and asks Terry if he likes her, but before he can say anything, the Emperor arrives at the place.
Terry introduces himself to the Emperor, but he ignores the introduction and asks him what he is doing with Penelope (he does not look happy). The focus shifts back to Grace. Vanessa gets angry at Lilly for being so rude, but she decides to just take Grace and go to her room because reacting to provocation is exactly what Lilly wants.
Vanessa and Grace walk away from the main room, and then Vanessa says that she never knew Lilly would say something like this. She then reassures Grace by saying that Noel would return to himself soon enough, so she should not worry. Grace thanks Vanessa for consoling her and says that she’s doing fine. She then thinks that there’s someone who might not be doing as good as her though.
